Nightlylab · alpha 0.01 — first light, first lab

✨ Overview

Nightlylab has entered “one repo / one lab” mode: UI kit + playground + updates + script experiments under a single roof.
With glass cards, accent tones, soft glows, and a global command palette for fast navigation, alpha 0.01 is live.

  • UI Playground: 30+ component demos under /components.
  • Landing Showcase: Module cards + roadmap pipeline + marquee for a live catalog feel.
  • Command Palette: Cmd/Ctrl + K to quickly search across pages / components / announcements.
  • Script / Convert: The first API endpoint skeleton for convert + download flows.
  • Updates: Release notes managed from one place via announcements and a timeline.

🧩 What’s Included

UI Kit (Playground)

  • Component pages: Accordion, Button, Card, Modal, Tabs, Tooltip, Pagination, Navbar, Notification, Progress Bar, etc.
  • Showcase components: Marquee, Marquee Hero Text, Parallax Card Stack, Scroll Progress, Section Dots.
  • Theme-aware approach: Light/Dark support with an accent-driven visual language.

Landing (Home)

  • Glass hero: “Lab modules” cards plus a “roadmap” pipeline panel.
  • Marquee strip: A component list that reinforces the live catalog vibe.
  • SoftEdgeStatCard set: Quick stats for UI / Fullstack / Starter / Automation.

Command Palette (Global)

  • Fast navigation: Jump between pages and components with a single shortcut.
  • Shortcuts: A ready foundation for action-focused commands (more coming during alpha).

Script / Convert (Skeleton)

  • API kickoff: Base structure for /api/convert and the download endpoint.
  • Demo goal: A single flow like “convert → download” from pages such as the image converter.

🧾 Changes / Notes

  • The playground model is now clear: app/components/<component>/page.tsx is designed as a “showcase” route.
  • The content/announcements/*.md content pipeline is connected to the Updates pages.
  • The glass/blur + glow design language is standardized (hero + cards + badges).

🧭 Roadmap (Short & clear)

  • alpha 0.02 – 0.03: UI polish, accessibility tweaks, new components, and better examples on component pages.
  • beta 0.01: Starter kit draft, script hub / packaging approach, richer command palette filters + sources.
  • Content pipeline: Updates + roadmap + announcements on a single data path; search / RSS / tagging.

🎯 Alpha Note

This release isn’t a “perfect product”—it’s a stage for fast iteration.
Nightlylab’s goal is to make the copy → tweak → ship loop as frictionless as possible.
